Pink Floral Maxi Dress | Tosave

Hey all

I'm back here with a collaboration with Tosave!

I got a couple of clothing items from Tosave and am quite excited to share this experience with you guys!
I have the choice to choose anything fashion and/or beauty related from Tosave within a $15 budget. Hence, it's a challenge, that I'm willing to take! Cause I want a good quality item with a low price.

The first product is this Pink Floral Maxi Dress. First of all, I always wanted to try and pull off a maxi dress look, cause I can never do it due to my height. I'm only about 5'3", and dresses designed and made from the Western brands will cater to women who are much taller than me. So, I decided to take this chance and try it on.

After a month of waiting, the products finally arrived and it is my turn to review and give you guys my first impressions.

First impression:
1. The material was more silky than I expected. It stated on the website that it is cotton blend. But it feels like pajamas, so silky and smooth, also very cooling. It is the type of material that doesn't wrinkle that easily. 
2. The dress is a tad bigger than what I expected, hence it doesn't fit me well. It is really lose on the waist and the dress touches the floor when I stand. 
3. The dress has pockets! Such a plus! But the pocket is quite shallow, so I don't see any use of putting things in, cause there might be a high chance of it dropping out.
4. The overall of the dress is quite nice, I quite like it and it is really comfortable to wear, perfect for the spring and summer weather. But because of the shiny, silky material of the dress, I'm not entirely sure if I would wear it out of not. 

I created a couple of styles on how I would style this dress, and my personal favourite will be with the belt and the floppy hat for a nice cool spring day. 
Had to wear a belt to create a smaller waist. And to create a look that it fits me.
Somehow I feel taller in these pictures with the maxi dress, interesting. Cause I was so scared it will just swallow me up and become very overwhelming on me. And then I'll just look like a short dwarf covered with tons of fabric 😂
Next, for a more night life style, I dressed it up with a leather jacket that I got from Uniqlo. Love the jacket! And it is still comfortable to wear around and walk about for the entire night too.
It is also a perfect dress for a nice cozy night in. Just pair it with a knitted cardigan and some socks, grab a book with a cup of hot chocolate and chill with your pup! Comfy nights in! 

My 2nd item I got from Tosave is a White Lace Tank Top. The lace is a bit flimsy, it just falls down when wearing it. The material itself is also very sheer. And it is also a bit tight on me. Which is why I did not take a picture of me wearing the top. 
The top is only around $3, which is why I'm not expecting much for its quality. If the lace and the material of the top is better, I would definitely wear it out with a jacket or a cardigan over it. 
Now, I think I would just wear it as a inner wear for a little lace peaking out of my (over exposed) top (if I ever have one).

It's been too long!
I miss you guys too!
And also feel bad for not even writing right now. But I was busy with assignments and internships, travelling and back with uni work again.

First Half of 2017 - New Buys & Fav Products

Hey y'all! I would like to share on what makeup products I had purchased when I was back in Malaysia last summer and lovin' it! I wasn't going on any major hunting session to find the perfect makeup product to try and buy. And of course, I did not go through any research on searching what products is the most worth it to buy and which is suitable for me. 
To summarise it all, I definitely bought these products spontaneously! 
 Blush: Nars - Bumpy Ride 
Lipstick: M.A.C. - Brave 
 M.A.C. is a brand that I always look up to and never have the guts to even go in to the store to try it out. As I'm sure all you beauty peeps out there knows, M.A.C. employees are not the best at customer service which also equals to me not being brave enough to step into the store to look around. Also it's interior is just so slick and mature that I feel like I am not suitable to be in there. 
 'But how did you even manage to buy a lipstick from M.A.C.?' you would ask. 
I was doing a favour for my cousin to buy a M.A.C. lipstick, as it was cheaper my M'sia than in Aussie. So, I did it. Finally first step into the store, and 'WHAO!!' The choices of colours for the lipsticks range are endless! 
Anyway, I'd picked up the lipstick for my cousin. I was with my mom at the time, so my mom was like, would you like one? I was like nah, I wasn't really into lipsticks. (Because they tend to dry off your lips, not fun) Of course, my mom said 'I know you want one, which one do you want?' 
I have no idea, and the salesperson was like expecting you to know all the names of their well-known lipsticks. I was clueless. In the end, the salesperson picked this deep nude colour with a pink/red base - 'Brave' and I love it! It brightens up my whole makeup look. Especially that I'm fair, and don't really put much makeup on everyday, it's perfect! 
I bought it without reading the any reviews about M.A.C. lipsticks, but I know for sure that my cousin loves it, and she owns a few of them already. Also hearing from many people saying how pretty the lip colours are. 
The lipstick doesn't dry up your lips as much as I thought, but it is best to put a layer of lip balm before putting on your lipstick. The colour stays on in a decent amount of hours. It does transfer [bummer], so it's best to bring the lipstick with you. The packaging is small enough, so that you can reapply when you are out and about. 
NARS is also another brand that I love and admire, but never own one before. My first encounter with NARS is when my mom wants a blush and foundation. So, I recommended her to this brand. 
Also, due to the fact I have to help my cousin buy some makeup. I drop by NARS for a sec just to look around. Mom on the other hand said that she wants a new foundation. Which also reminds me that I would like to have a blush. 
And of course, NARS is well-known for its Blush - Orgasm.
My mom owns one of it, and I was planning to get one for myself, so that I don't have to sneak in to my mom's vanity just to use it. Then, the salesperson recommended me this new shade for the S/S season, called Bumpy Ride. 
Pink base, really pigmented. I love it! 
Though it doesn't have the gold glitter like Orgasm, but its fine. I love this shade! It gives my face a healthy flush look, and I received quite a few compliments from it whenever I wear it.

Spring Fashion 2017 for Men & Women

Hiiii!! I'm BACK! :D
Finally we are in the 2nd half of the semester. And yesterday I finally completed one of the huge assignments. I hope it goes well, and now is time for me to rest and chill.

Bonobos asked me to create a fashion mood board for both women and men for this upcoming Spring! I gladly accepted it! Thinking of the trends and 2017's colours. I finally did it!

First of all is for us women.
Off shoulders has become a huge trend for this year, and incorporate with that trend adding with one of this year's colour - this soft pink colour. Thus choosing this off shoulders dress will be perfect for spring.
Also having a sky blue colour from the shoes is also a trendy colour this year.
Combining both colours for this outfit is a great colour scheme.
Holding that sling bag with a hint of floral blue pattern is the perfect design for spring!
How can you not say yes to floral patterns!

Spring Fashion Casual 2017




As for the men, I hope this will help your fashion of just T-shirts and pants with slippers.
Another trendy colour this year is this shade of nude, Hazelnut colour.
I find men can pull off this look really well.
Having a nice casual jacket makes the overall look way better.
Instead of wearing slippers or sandals, wear slip-ins shoes. As they give off a look that you put lots of effort in. An overall well-put look. Which is great!
Off white, nude and a touch of light grey with black shoes. You will be ready for spring!

Face Your Fashion Fear Challenge!

Hey guys!

I've been challenged to face my fashion's fear by Dia&Co.

Dia&Co. is a curated shopping experience, delivered to your doorstep, exclusively in sizes 14+!

The fashion that I fear of are off shoulders tops or dresses.
Thus it make sense that I do not own any of these clothing styles.
As you guys who know me, will know that I love to dress and be comfortable.

I personally find these two fashion very stylish and attractive. I love them. But never had the courage to try them.
Why?
Because I feel like I have like big shoulders  compare to other petite Asian girls. So it gave me insecurities of showing skin of my shoulders.

When off shoulders became trendy, I build up the courage to buy some off shoulder tops.
But I never really tried to wear it off shoulder. I just wore them up on my shoulders.

Then, when Dia&Co. contacted me, I build up the courage to wear my tops off shoulder.
And here's the results!!

I might need some time to get use to it. 
But I love it that now I can pull off this style.

You'll never know how you look until you try them right.
Just give it a go! Love your body and just try them out! You might experience a new and amazing feeling and even gain confidence!

Redang Island Trip [Day 2]

Hi HII! =D
Now for my readers/ friends who read about my Redang Trip [Day 1]
Here's my Day 2!! =D

On the 22nd of May 2015.
Woke up early for breakfast for our next snorkelling trip!
Trip was at 9am.
So ya, I had more time after breakfast, cause I woke up at 7am+ and walked around the resort.
But most of all, main reason is to take pics =D

Morning scenery!!

As you guys can see, I got a lot tanner!
*cry buckets*
Any idea on how to become fairer back? =(
I really wanna know!!
The whole place was seriously empty, which I like. =D
There's a few people walking around.
But no major crowds!
A perfect place to just rest =D (or take pics =P)
We head over to the Marine Life Park to snorkel!
The place is develop for tourists to go there and snorkel.
We are able to feed the fishes there, so bring bread!! =D
This is how awesome the whole place is!
There's more fishes and different colours of corals compare to the last snorkelling trip.
And the sea is just so clear!
I'm always in awe whenever I see this pic. =)

And with NO LIFE JACKET!!!
I haven't been swimming for ages!
And I was able to swim in the sea is because of the life jacket.
But when the photographer asked us to take it off, because it's much more cooler.
I was contemplating about it.
I was seriously depending on the swimmer/photographer dude, after I took off the life jacket!
But it came out with this awesome picture, and I seriously owe it to those great guys!
They are really friendly and loves to joke around with you! =D
And of course, here come another small eye pic.
They asked us to jump!
I mean like what????
Jump in the water????
Ya, my bro did it.
I'm still half jumping when it took the pic. Hahaa!!
And yes, my eyes were open!! ><
Remember that I mentioned in my last post that there's this Hong Kong movie filmed there at the resort.
Here's the building!!
It changed its' place from the centre of the beach to the side of the beach.
And because I love their clear sea here, I couldn't stop taking pics of it! 
So, enjoy!! =D 
And since, there's nothing much for us to do.
The one more activity left for us to try is archery!
Disclaimer: I was never good at sports and never really a fan of it. Yes, I do know some things about football and badminton. But the sports genes all went to my brothers instead. =/
So here's My First Time Trying Archery!!

RM10 for 20 arrows, idk that if this is cheap or not.
I don't really wanna know.
I think my posture is wrong also! Lol!
Don't take it seriously!! Idk what I was doing, cause there's no one to teach me.
Okay there is, but I need time to figure it out on myself, instead of people telling me how.
I did manage a few arrows on the board, which I'm proud of! Lol!
And of course, my brother is way better than me! ><
In the end, my arm was aching and I gave up! Lol
Yay for first timer =)
Head back to the beach and relax for a while! =)
Sea, sea, sea ♥♥
And that's the end of my second and also my last day of my trip in Redang Island.
We head back to KL, the next morning. =)
I'm really grateful and blessed that God made all these for us to enjoy and appreciate!
Learn to love the nature.
Stay a way from all the electronic devices for a few days won't cause you any harm.
I was really able to relax when I was here. =)
And I was glad that I came!

Redang Island Trip [Day 1]

Hi guys and gals!!!
I'm back with another post!  
My sem break is officially over and to make things short. 
Here's my trip over to Pulau Redang during my break! =) 

The trip was awesome, fun! And I got tanner, but with a few days of just staying in my room, I manage to become back to my fair self =D

In case you guys were wondering, why am I so high up in the pic below. 
Cause the guys who were taking pics of us, pull me up so suddenly while taking the pic. Lol!! 
My eyes were open, but so so so small -.- 
I was shocked! 
Very much shocked! =0 
But I survived, and super love this pic actually ♥♥
On the 21st of May. 
Woke up super early in the morning from KL, took a flight to Kuala Terengganu.
Reached there at around 9am+ 
Then we took an hour and half boat ride over to Pulau Redang. 
So, it was around 11am+ when we do reach our hotel. 
Hotel that we are staying is Laguna Resort. 
This is the place where the Hong Kong movie called '夏日的么么茶' is filmed.  
I never watched the film before, cause duh.. I was only like 5? =D 
But they showed the movie in the hotel TV on repeat and yes in the end I watched it. 
Fact: The songs '对面的女孩看过来' and '浪花一朵朵' is from this movie.  

Here's the main building of the resort! 
Refreshing or welcoming drinks were given to the guests who just arrived. 
Look at that view =) 
The white sandy beach, the clear blue sea and also the cloudless blue sky!
Is just an awesome view.
Buffet is our everyday meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I'm not saying that they make good food.
Of course Penang have better food.
But their food is edible and great =)
We have a quart bed room!
First time hearing it right?
Usually there's twin bed room which is common, and us siblings have to order an extra bed cause there's 3 of us!
But now with this quart bed room!
It's so so cool! =D
After resting and having our lunch.
The activities began!
At 3pm, we rented our snorkelling goggles and life jackets.
And off we go on our FIRST EVER SNORKELLING TRIP!!!

In the sea!!
Yes, we were swimming in an open sea.
I was drinking tons of salty liquid while swimming. =(
Tasted really really salty.
And I haven't been swimming for years.
Thank goodness there's a life jacket, or else I will be even nearer with the fishes and corals.
After a few practise we manage to get the hang of it.
And gosh!
Underwater experience is something that everyone, yes EVERYONE! should try out!
The silent world under you just make you go wahh!! ♥♥
And like people who had experience, all you can hear is your own breathing.
The silent world just brings another beauty into it. =)
And we also manage to get underwater pictures.
I seriously want a Go-Pro for my birthday lol.
I have to pay for these pics, which I guess is worthy! =)

Family pic!! Mom is taking her own sweet time on the beach. =)
After around an hour of swimming and enjoying the beauty of another world.
We head back to the boat and went back to our resort to rest! =)
Tan, tired but all smiles =D
Okay I lied that we were going to rest.
But, ermm... we head to the beach in front of our resort!
We played around in the water.
Feeding fishes and I have to sacrifice my camera to take pics for them.
The pretty and the goofy *smirk!*
The sea here, is just so clear and beautiful. 
And I'm sure that I can stare at it the whole day. =) 
Pretty isn't it? =)
And then all of a sudden, my brothers decided to build a sandcastle.
I admit that we never build a sandcastle before, cause we rarely go to our beach back in Penang.
And now we had the chance and the time, so why not?
They took hours lol, by using our cousin's tools and build up this multi-levelled castle!
They are proud of it.
Last but not least, the main attraction for that day!
Green turtles!

We were lucky enough to meet them, and also had the chance to free them!
It was an awareness campaign that they were holding.
And for each turtle, we have to pay RM20.
On the website, it says RM80! =0 *mindblown!!*

I've always wanted to free a turtle, it's an rare experience and opportunity to do it!
And with me nagging about it, my parents allowed! =D
This is one of my all times bucket list!
And I manage to cross it off! =D

This little one should stay strong and live long in the sea! =)
