What I Would Wear To A Wedding / Prom | MillyBridal

Hey all!

It's finally nearing to the end of the year, and I'm back with another post! ~Laugh at myself for being 'productive' with this blog~. If you guys remember the last post on my wishlist dress that was sponsored by MillyBridal. We are back with another post.

Perfect timing!

I have a couple of my friends are getting married next year! And it also mean it is the reason us, girls get a new dress for the occasion. Although I can't make it to the special occasion, a girl can dream on which dress to buy and dress up right? 😄 I put in prom in the title because I personally think that these dresses are also suitable for prom or year end formals too for high school and uni graduates!

So, let's get started! I was scrolling through MillyBridal UK, checking out some pretty dresses, with the mindset of which dress I would pick if I attend any of these events. I found the category in Prom Ball Gowns which is specially for prom and formals. I never thought that prom can be so fancy, and I really like it! If I can attend a prom that I can dress up to be so fancy, I would definitely enjoy myself dressing up for the event.

I chose a couple of dresses from this category which I think is nice for a wedding reception and/or prom events.

1. Two Piece Dresses

A two piece dress is very trendy right now and I'm really loving the look, simple yet dressy enough for a formal event. If you want a knee-length dress and still be comfortable, I believe this would be the dress for you. I will definitely choose this dress for a spring/summer wedding reception / prom. Able to dress up and won't be feeling hot in the heat. Match it with a pair of pumps or even a pair of flats works very well with this dress. Adding on, tulle has become a trendy material to achieve that fairy tale, princess dream-like look. Which I personally love, not complaining about it at all. It is #goals!

Another amazing thing with this dress is that it comes with more than 30+ colours for you to choose. You can also customise to fit your body shape and size. And I'm sure you will look great it in no matter what!

2. Satin Dresses
Satin V-neck A-line Floor-length Prom Dresses
Satin is a material that I dream of wearing it. Satin is so timeless and elegant, and it can never go wrong for any formal event. I chose this dress, although it is floor length, but it has spaghetti straps which is still great for S/S season. Dress like Cinderella with the light blue dress,
pair it with a pair of simple black, white or beige heels and you are ready! You don't have to do much dressing up to make the outfit stand out. And I'm sure that it will be THE dress for any occasion.

3. Mermaid Dresses

While scrolling through the Mermaid Prom Dresses category,  I saw this lace see through dress that just shouts 'Buy Me!' Haha! TBH, I would not get myself a mermaid dress, as I do not have that summer bod that everyone work hard for, or even born with (good for you, if you do). But looking at these tight fitted dresses, it might be an inspiration for me to start! Fresh new #goals in 2019? Loll we'll see 😉

Lace is so pretty, I love the see through dress yet it does not look inappropriate. As a dress it shows off elegance and feminine of delicacy, especially for lace. I love lace as a material in a fashion item. Whenever a fashion item is made with lace, my eyes are drawn towards it and want to buy it. This is no different. Hahaha

Also with the colour black, it is perfect for evening wear and I can assure you, it is not too over the top. I would definitely wear this to a formal event such as prom or even a dinner party.

4. Bold Colour Dresses

I always have that idea of formal dresses have to be either white or black or some neutral colour. But MillyBridal have so much colour choices for you to pick! A red dress is so pretty for a formal event, and also a great way to catch attention 😉. (Just saying)

But all seriousness, choosing a bold colour dress is perfectly fine and yet I applaud you for being comfortable in yourself and expressing yourself with colours! I love colours and I definitely will choose, for example a red dress as a bold colour dress to a formal event. And I encourage you should do it too!

These are just some of the dresses that I would wear to a formal event such as weddings or proms.

Have a festive holiday and summer (if you are from Aus or NZ)! Enjoy the last few weeks of 2018!
🎄Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎉
